You may not believe it when you hear it for the first time. But, here are the facts of life. There are so many villages and small communities in the remote regions of the world where the young children have no shoes to wear to go to school, have no black board to write on, nor the glass windows to shield the cold winter air from outside. We at PARAP are going to work with multinational NGOs operating in these areas to help provide small, but important assistance in spite of t he relatively small sum of money to the needy schools and the children.
First of all, in the coming few months of 2007 and 2008, we will try to get a modest project or two in the Russian Far East and Nepal in order to prove that this way of bringing the well-to-do young people living in urban centers directly in touch with the school teachers and the local NGO representatives so that we can help them do something, a little donation or other means of assistance, to these remote communities. We are convinced this kind of exchange will help promote the deepening of mutual understanding and the spread of goodwill around the world.
